The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
The Operations Manager supervises the Reception Team, manages the diary and rotas, and supports the Practice Manager in the general running of the practice.
The receptionists are there to help you and the doctors. They have a challenging job ensuring the practice runs efficiently and smoothly. Please be patient.
Secretaries provide a full confidential and effective service to GP's nurses and practice manager. Their role includes typing of all clinical reports and letters, electronic referrals, all prescription queries, liasing with hospitals for appointments/results and general enquires. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses.
All our staff are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors.Physical or verbal abuse will not be tolerated under any circumstances towards any of the practice team and will lead to removal from the practice list.
Defamatory or abusive comments made on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Google plus etc. will be taken very seriously by the practice and may also lead to removal from the practice list.
Clinical pharmacists assisting the practice with medication reviews. Health Board audits and alll medication related queries.
The community midwifes run ante-natal clinics in various locations within the south west. Most of our patients will attend the clinic at Pollok Health Centre. Midwives visit all mothers at home after the birth of a new baby.

Patients who are confined to their homes and who need nursing assistance can arrange this with the district nurses. They will also deal with dressings, stitches and injections. The nurses are based at Pollok Health Centre - 0141 531 6812
All treatment room services will be at Pollok Health Centre. Patients must call 531-6828 to make appointments Sevices include:

The practice has attached health visitors and support staff who have their office based at Thornliebank Health Centre and can give advice on health care particularly for expectant mothers, small children and those with complex health needs. Immunisation clinics are on Wednesdays here at the surgery parents/guardians should receive invite letters from the Health Board screening department with the date and time. The health visitors and Dr Paulina run post-natal Clinics on a Thursday morning from 10:00 am here at the surgery.
